New Plays Series is a scheme to nourish emerging local playwrights that explores writing for the and its relationship to acting and directing. The scheme involves a workshop and production process in collaboration with professional actors and directors.

The scheme includes two series of training workshops and a retreat camp. One potential script - Lo Cheuk On’s play Two was chosen by the mentors and further developed together with the experienced creative team of Theatre du Pif and Actors’ Family. In long run the scheme wished to support emerging playwrights in developing their skill and style of writing and to encourage the creation of new plays.
