"My Foot My Tutor" is an acclaimed 1998 production by Hong Kong’s Theatre du Pif, adapting Austrian playwright Peter Handke's avant-garde, dialogue-free text (Das Mündel will Vormund sein). The piece explored power, silence, and control through movement and physical theatre.

The Hong Kong-based physical theatre company is led by artistic directors Bonni Chan and Sean Curran. Their adaptation of the 1969 Handke work was one of the pivotal early productions for the group, establishing their signature minimalist and visually expressive style.

The play centers on a tense relationship between two male characters—a guardian and his ward—and features zero dialogue. Instead of relying on a traditional spoken script, the production used precise physical movement, psychological tension, and soundscapes to convey the shifting power dynamics, rebellion, and oppression inherent in the relationship.
