Love in the Time of
inspired by the novel Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez

There is a disease called love.

A love story that spans 53 years 7 months and 11 days...

Florentino, rejected by the beautiful Fermina at a young age, dedicates much of his adult life to erotic affairs in a desperate attempt to mend his broken heart.

Years after her rejection of him, Florentino approaches Fermina at her husband’s funeral and tells her, “I have waited for this opportunity for more than half a century, to repeat to you once again my vow of eternal fidelity and everlasting love.”

Theatre du Pif's Love in the Time of is in a series of lyrical and imagistic episodes filled with poetry, music, movement and heightened moments of theatricality that explores the many facets of love.
