KNIVES IN HENS by David Harrower
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Set in a god-fearing, pre-industrial community, a young woman comes to terms with an ancient hatred, an unexpected betrayal, and a growing sense of her place in the world.

Part psychological drama part allegory Knives in Hens is a primal story, elemental and mystical about fear and hate, innocence and evil.

Critic

"The stylised presentation enables the inner passion of the characters' complex relationship to be visualised. This sublimates the realistic plot, and illuminates the metaphorical text."
